“The Spaulding Dunbar Photo-Poet Solo Show” features original archival, UV-coated prints of photographs taken by the artist at Anjali Farm in Vermont, along the New England coast, and during a visit to his family in India. The collection tells stories of cycles, rhythms, order in chaos, familiar connections, comforting realities and obvious similarities that we all know. The “Solo Show” shares the artist’s passion for his experience of land stewardship through narrative images and portraits, telling stories about the natural environment and the daily experience of human habitation within it. this. In parallel with the prints, there is a poetry written by the artist. The poems express the narrative of Dunbar’s process and practice of using the camera to capture the photo-poetry of the natural and constructed world.
